The Lost Ten Tribes saved the Jacob’s Sheep from Extinction
A Jewish Couple brought them Home to Israel

It was in the year of 2014 that Jewish newlyweds, Gil and Jenna Lewinsky began a new journey, they never expected to make. Both at the age of 31, they met and married in Jerusalem. Jenna worked for the Israeli foreign ministry and her husband Gill was a freelance journalist who worked for the Jerusalem Post.
After one year of marriage, they chose to return to the birth roots of Jenna in native South Africa. One year later they moved to Canada the homeland of Gill in the western regions of the Pacific coastline of Canada in Vancouver. Here they dreamed of becoming cattle ranchers.
It started out as a Valentine surprise when Gil gave a new bunny to his wife, Jenna and soon they had a nest full of bunnies and a new reality of life. They realized that birthing calves as cattle ranching was not their cup of tea and neither were bunnies, but the hand of the Divine opened up a new door to their lives.
First went the bunnies when they discovered an adopted mother yet during the transition, the same women was looking for someone to adopt some sheep; sheep so rare and so special that their genetic testing suggested that their ancestral origins were once in Sumer and the Middle East and now with clues from the Torah, came from the flock of “spotted and speckled” sheep from the flocks Laban as payment for the services the Patriarch Jacob; the ancestral forefather of the 12-Tribes of Israel.

There the two newlyweds fell in love with what has now become an international passion; heirloom sheep with over a 3,600 year history from the days of the Patriarchs Abraham. Isaac and Jacob. Here was a “love story” blending a Jewish couple now in pursuit of saving the last remaining remnants of “Jacob’s Sheep”; with a passion now to save the vanishing breed of biblical sheep from the House of Abraham.
Sheep have been a cultural and economic mainstay in the Middle East since the Abrahamic times. This was when Abram, the son of Terah, the Oracular High Priest in the ancient empire of Nimrod later escaped to the home of Noah and Shem near the foothills of Ararat.
Abram first had an assassination plot against him as a child by the world emperor of that time, Nimrod. Later as a grown man, Abram returned home to visit his father, Haran, the High Priest who was a worshipper of Planet Marduk.
Marduk was later known as the celestial warrior god called Mars, yet in its primitive celestial orbital rotation around the sun, the proto-planet returned every 52-54 years and produced chaos and catastrophes throughout the Tigris and the Euphrates River Valleys and the Middle East. Is it not intriguing that today, it is believed that the sheep that the Patriarch Abraham, Isaac and Jacob had in huge flocks in the days before Jacob’s descent down into Egypt, may still be still living and producing sheep on Planet Earth today?
According to the Jacob Sheep Society in Exeter, Devon, England, these sheep have now genetically been typed and their genetic ancestral roots analyzed as documented in an article in Science Magazine titled, “Revealing the History of Sheep Domestication using Retrovirus Integration”. It suggested that using endogenous retroviruses as genetic marker traits, these sheep can now be retrotyped and their morphology gleaned as the potential domesticated flocks of sheep of the Children of Israel from the Patriarchal House of Jacob.
According to their scientific research and studies, the “Jacob Sheep” can now be traced all across Eurasia. This was also the same region that the historians of the Royal Scythians of the North, known as the Scythian Horsemen of the North were the Royal tribe of the Lost Ten Tribes of the House of Israel. They testified that as they wandered over the face of the earth, along with their families and their vast flocks that went with them for they were the world’s most productive horse, sheep and cattle herders in the world.

These same morphological type of “spotted and striped” sheep can also be traced back into Africa which is not surprising for during the era of Joseph when he was the Vizier of the Egyptian Empire, the Children of Israel (Jacob) kept their vast flocks of sheep with them in the Land of Goshen.
They later took their livestock with them in route to the Land of Promise during the Great Exodus. After their rendezvous with the G-d of Israel (Jacob) at the Mount called Sinai and later during their rebellion at the Jordan River, it was the Lost Ten Tribes’ rebellion that caused them to wander the Middle East near Arabia for the next forty years.Destination Yisrael’s article series attests to these facts documenting the escape from Egypt in Northern Africa that was called the Great Exodus, titled, “Was the Sinai Peninsula a Rocky Desert or Lush Wilderness Meadows during the Great Exodus?”
Destination Yisrael – “Consider the fact that Abraham (2056-1881 BCE) was only ten generations from the Great Flood of Noah that destroyed the whole earth about 2350 BCE. If the biblical Exodus did occur somewhere between 1450-1550 BCE about 450 years after the birth of Isaac, and 210 years after Jacob descended into the land of Egypt, according to a strict chronology of the patriarchal ages, it would suggest that the historical era from Abraham’s ancestral Patriarch Noah to the day of the Exodus was only 800-900 years after the world’s greatest catastrophe called the Great Noachian Flood.
Less than one millennium after the Flood, the Nile apocalypse of 10 plagues would cascade down upon the land of Egypt. Six months later, two million Hebrew-Israelites were fleeing towards the biblical lands of their Patriarchal forefathers; Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, in which would be still be remembered six millenniums later as “The Exodus”.
Yet the fullest extent of this catastrophic era was not over when the Hebrew-Israelites fled Egypt. Neither did the two million Bnei Yisrael leave an ancient land of antiquity behind, but rather a destroyed imperial state; except there were more catastrophes still to come.
The great devastation in Egypt was only a part of a larger Middle Eastern catastrophe that had not ended. All across the Middle East, volcanoes were erupting, the seas were boiling. If it appeared that they were leaving a land of destruction, what was not anticipated was that in seven days, they would be experiencing the most dramatic of all catastrophes that have occurred in the world to date; the parting of the Red Sea. Yet during these few days, the Hebrew-Israelites were racing for their lives across virgin meadows and wilderness plains that would allow them to reach the place of their ultimate destination.”
Patriarchal “Jacob Sheep” on a Farm
Later with the dispersing of the Canaanite tribes that were conquered by the 12 tribes of Jacob, each tribe was given their patriarchal homeland estates that will in the higher messianic spiritual dimensional future called the “Era of the Messiah” all of their tribal descendants will eventually settle in the lands of the future Commonwealth of Israel where the capital of Jerusalem will extend from the Nile River to the Euphrates River Valley that will be known as; “Greater Israel.”
Crossing back over to the east of the Jordan River the Tribes of Manasseh, Gad and Reuben hosted large flocks up to the days when the capital of the Northern Kingdom of Israel called Samaria was conquered by Assyria. The story has been told over and over, a people that were cast into exile for refusing to follow the Torah, the divine precepts of G-d and worship in Jerusalem, the House of HaShem. This same mountainous land in Shomron and Judea that is so disputed today as “occupied territory” was once the highly fortified Capital city of Samaria of the Northern Kingdom of Israel. Yet the disputes are by Palestinian peoples, a non-people of the House of Ishmael that were prior scattered all across the Levant in the 1940s because the newly rising Royal Arab kingdoms in the Middle East did not want them as part of their kingdoms newly created by the French and the British Mandates.
The history of the Lost Ten Tribes of the House of Israel can easily be perceived today. The Lost Ten Tribes of the House of Israel that were sent into exile near the Caspian and the Black Seas in Eurasia wandered in mass back to the west over the Black Sea into the regions of Gaul in northern Europe so the primitive morphology of the sheep can still be traced also to the Orkney, Soay, and the Nordic short-tailed sheep that are today confined to the regions of northwest Europe. It was the Patriarchal forefather of the 12-Tribes of Israel (Jacob) whom the Torah tells the amazing story how Laban, the father of Jacob’s two wives, Leah and Rachel, kept changing the rules of the marriage contract and refused to pay Jacob his appropriate and agreed upon salary as the governor of Laban’s flocks. With the divine guidance from the G-d of Israel, Jacob ended up creating a new, hardier sheep breed that that were speckled and spotted.
Genesis 30:27-28, 31- “Laban said to him ‘If I have found favor in your eyes! I have learned by divination that Hashem has blessed me on account of you. Specify your wage to me and I will give it…
And Jacob said, ‘Do not give me anything; If you will do this thing for me, I will resume pasturing and guarding your flocks; Let me pass through your whole flock today. Remember from there every speckled or spotted lamb, every brownish lamb among the sheep and the spotted or speckled among the goats – that will be my wage.
Let my integrity testify for me in the future when it comes before you regarding my wages; any among the goats that is not speckled or spotted, or among the sheep that is not brownish, is stolen, if in my possession.’”
As such today, the speckled and spotted sheep of the flocks of Jacob were soon dispersed in later years, after the Exodus to the tribes Manasseh, Gad and Reuben for these sons of Jacob had a genetic disposition towards animal husbandry. It was this same theme as the G-d of Israel came down upon the mount called Sinai, and spoke to Moses as depicted in the following text what is today portrayed as “Aliyah” the return of the Jews in the diaspora back to the Land of the Jews in the Tribal lands of Judah.
Exodus 19:3-6 – “Moses ascended to G-d, and HaShem called to him from the mountain, saying, ‘So you have seen what I did to Egypt, and that I have borne you on the wings of eagles and brought you to Me.
And now, if you hearken well to Me and observe My covenant, you shall be to Me the beloved treasure of all peoples, for Mine is the entire world. You shall be to Me a kingdom of ministers and a holy nation. These are the words that you shall speak to the Children of Israel.’”
As we have noticed very carefully, the entire “Nation of the Children of Israel” also included the Lost Ten Tribes of the House of Israel. So we ask again, will it be a coincidence or Divine intervention that soon in our future as early as July 2016, the “Jacob Sheep” will also be “borne on the wings of eagles” and returned to the Land of Israel in preparation for the “Era of the Messiah” to begin.
Will it be just a coincident that it was the Jewish couple, Gill and Jenna Lewensky’s dream was actually a divine fulfillment that will be a necessary ingredient for the also “divine occurrence” of the redemption of the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, and the rebuilding of the Beit HaMikdash (Holy Temple) again in Jerusalem?
The dreams now of the Lewensky couple to bring home in aliyah the ancient sheep of the House of Jacob for the first time in 2,700 years and the anticipated fulfillment and the rebuilding of the Temple of HaShem upon its ancient platform are only two of a vast meta-system where the “cosmic heavenly gates will open” in response to the “earthly arousal from below” by a single Jewish couple that will begin the cascading events called the “Drama of the Ages”. This will conclude with the recreation of Planet Earth into a new Gan Eden, which the Heavenly Gan Eden will reach down and touch the earthly earthy Gan Eden as prophesied in Ezekiel 36:
Ezekiel 36:16-22, 24-28, 33 (parts) - “The word of Adonai came to me: ‘Human being, when the house of Isra’el lived in their own land, they defiled it by the manner of life and their actions; their way before me was like the uncleanness of niddah (menstruation). Therefore I poured out my fury on them, because of the blood they had shed in the land and because they defiled it with their idols.
I scattered them among the nations and dispersed them throughout the countries. I judged them in keeping with their manner of life and actions. When they came to the nations they were going to, they profaned my holy name so that people said of them ‘These are Adonai’s people, who have been exiled from his land.’ But I am concerned about my holy name, which the house of Yisra’el is profaning among the nations where they have gone.
Therefore, tell the house of (the Ten Lost Tribes of ) Isra’el that Adonai Elohim (L-rd G-d) says this: I am not going to do this for your sake, house of Isra’el, but for the sake of my holy name, which you have been profaning among the nations where you went.
I will set apart my great name to be regarded as holy, since it has been profaned in the nations – you profaned it among them. They will know that I am Adonai,’ says Adonai Elohim, ‘when, before their eyes, I am set apart through you to be regarded as holy.
For I will take you from among the nations, gather you from all countries, and return you to your own soil. Then I will sprinkle clean water upon you…I will cleanse you from your uncleanliness…I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit inside your…
You will live in the land I gave to your ancestors. You will be my people, and I will be your G-d…When the day comes for me to cleanse you from all your guilt, I will cause cities to be inhabited and the ruins to be rebuilt. The land that was desolate will be tilled, whereas formerly it lay desolate for all passing by to see. They will say, ‘the land that used to be desolate has become like Gan Eden (Garden of Eden)…Then the nations around that remain will know that I, Adonai, have rebuilt the ruins and replanted what was abandoned. I, Adonai, have spoke; and I will do it!”
The temple cannot be built without the sheep that are the foundation of all the sacrificial services that were instituted in the ancient temples of King Solomon and later in King Herod’s Temple.
Can we now perceive that the redemption of Klal Yisrael (all 12-Tribed Israel) is at the doorstep of this Year of Jubilee in the Jewish Year of 5776? Are we preparing for the “End of History” in preparation of the rise of the futuristic “Higher Dimensional Messianic Era of King Messiah” so awaited for these past 2,000 years by the Jewish people; with these words, “Next Year in Jerusalem?”
The future rebuilding of the Beit HaMikdash (Holy Temple) and the redemption of all 12-Tribed Israel of the House of Jacob now appears to be emerging by Divine intent for the animal sacrificial system in Jerusalem cannot be reinstituted without the sacrificial lambs as promised to the Chazal (Hebrew acronym, Hakheneinu Zikhronam), the Orthodox Sages of Judah who lived in the era of the Tannaim that included Hillel the Elder, Akiva ben Joseph and Judah haNasi that were expounders of the Talmud).
These two cosmic events, Sheep and Holy Temple will be needed to occur beforehand in preparation for the sacrificial temple services can be reinstituted in our near future. At the same time when the “cosmic alignment of the planetary elevation of 4th dimensional messianic consciousness” is given to HaShem’s “chosen people”, and the future “Messianic Era of the Elevation of Human Consciousness” begins when the Shekinah once again will come down and dwell with reclaimed, restored, and redeemed Klal Yisrael (12-Tribed Israel), then the Gates of Holy Temple will open and all of G’d’s chosen people will rejoice when the temple services begin again.
It is today being anticipated that on Rosh Hashanah in the fall of 2016 that the transition of the 5000 years of man will begin to end as the “Era of Messianic Spiritual elevation begins with our ascent into “4th dimensional cosmic consciousness.”
The Tribal Lands of the Northern Ten Tribe of Israel
It were these three tribes of cattle, sheep and goat husbandry, Manasseh, Gad and Reuben, who along with the rest of the Children of Israel made their daring escape from Imperial Egypt during that harrowing passage thru the Red Sea. This was one of the most amazing catastrophic eras in human history.
Yet, the Tribes of Manasseh, Gad, and Reuben also took with them their entire flocks of “Jacob Sheep”, plus the “speckled and striped goats” and vast cattle herds in that same passageway through the Red Sea.
The descendants of these “Jacob Sheep” are now believed to still be living today with us as testimony of their preservation by G-d as they lived over 40 years in the fertile and lush meadows and valleys near the mount called Sinai in route to their Promised Land about the year of 1575 BCE.
The Agility of the Lambs of the Jacob Sheep Strain
Today the “Jacob Sheep” breed is a very rare breed on the verge of extinction. The scientific analysis have now confirmed that the “Jacob Sheep” is the oldest breed of sheep since antiquity that is still with us today.
The origins of the “Jacob Sheep” has now been determined to have begun in the Middle East. The fact that we can in our modern age now return to the pages of the Torah, in the Old Testament Book of Genesis and find the true origins of the first “Jacob Sheep” is an amazing accomplishment in itself.
As we have now also learned, this new sheep breed came about under the supervision of the ancient geneticist, the young Torah student who studied in the yeshiva of his grandfather, Abraham who later used his genetic skills in the scientific quest to create a “speckled and spotted” sheep that we can now pet and love today.
It was almost 2,400 years later that the Islamic Moors brought these same breed of sheep across the Northern Africa Mediterranean coastline as they swept into and conquered the Iberian Peninsula in the eighth century CE. The country of Spain came under the domination of the Islamic Caliphate of Cordova.

The “Jacob Sheep” were later imported into the British Isles during the British Elizabethan Era when the Spanish Jewish Royalty had married into the British royal family. There the sheep became an ornamental animal that lived in the habitat in the parklands that surrounded the gentry’s country manors of the English aristocrats and nobility.
Today, the “Jacob Sheep” are now established as a mainstream British breed. In England, there are around 8,000 “Jacob Sheep” that are breeding yearly about 3,000 lambs that are registered. Yet it is accepted by the Brits, that the “Jacob Sheep” in the North America, especially in Canada, are the purest of the “Jacob Sheep” breed.
The “Jacob sheep” today is a very dominant and particularly striking breed. The male usually boasts of four horns, two that are large and curving over the head and two smaller ones on either side of the face. Some of the flock of sheep that the Lewinsky family have been able to purchase amazingly are growing also six horns.
This sheep breed is relatively small and compact and occasionally confused by many of their fans by their goat-like appearance. Many of them are piebald (white face with spots) or spotted sheep that are typically black and white. What is more amazing is the fact this exotic heirloom breed have not been affected by sheep interbreeding for over 3,500 years.
The credit for this should go to the Lost Ten Tribes of the House of Israel who brought these exotic sheep with them all across Eurasia from the Caspian Sea where they were sent into exile, over the Black Sea and up the Danube into Northern Gaul in Northern Europe and later onward into North America, predominately into Canada.
Today the “Jacob Sheep” is generally credited within the sheep industry as the most improved breed of the last 40 years. They have proven to be hardy, long-lived and an attractive sheep. Yet they are most noted for the flavor of their lean meat whether pure-bred or crossed with a terminal sire. Their wool, skins and exotic horns are quickly purchased to a populous eager for such unusual and attractive merchandise. It was Jenna Lewensky who recently stated:

Jenna Lewensky – “The reason we took the first four lambs is that we heard the numbers were dwindling in Canada. We thought, if we don’t at that particular moment start saving them, there won’t be any who are able to go to Israel. “Jacob sheep” should be like a national animal to the Jews in the Land of Israel. But farmers we spoke to said there aren’t any “Jacob sheep” in Israel. I’ve always had a fantasy of preserving endangered animals. If we didn’t start at that moment, most of our flock would have been lamb chops.”
Today, outside of Canada, the “Jacob Sheep” as discussed above have been preserved by the English baronial families and royalty for several hundred years. Of the tribes of the Lost Ten Tribes, the English are most noted to be of the tribe of Ephraim, of the House of Joseph. As discussed in so many different manifestations in blog called “Destination Yisrael”, the House of Ephraim whose tribal banner was the “Heifer” in Hebrew called “Engel” was also known as the “Angle” that sounds so close to the early Brits of the 5th century CE known as the “Anglo-Saxons.“
The English peoples were a blend of the 5th century Germanic tribes known in the ancient world as the Sacae or Sakkai (Saxons) as we have now have seen above were from the House of Joseph, the son of the Patriarch Jacob and Rachel, the daughter of Laban known as the Syrian.
How fascinating history is in twisting the fates of our ancient historical Lost Israelites. The sages of Judah have known for centuries that HaShem gave mankind including the Jews and the Lost Ten Tribes 5000 years to rectify and restore what was lost in the Garden of Eden when Eve and Adam made the mistake of believing in the testimony of the Nachash, the sneaky serpent, instead of the warnings of Maker of the Universes.
It was given to us, mankind, by the Almighty One of Israel to rectify or to redeem our family historical fates back to the One House of Jacob and reunite the Jewish peoples back with their ancient cousins, the Lost Ten Tribes of the House of Israel (Jacob); together as one family.

Here were a peoples, the ancient Sacae (Sakkas or the Tribes of Isaac) or Saxons whose life size pictorial profiles were engraved on the Behistun Tombstone of the Persian King Darius, the son of Queen Esther the Jewess and King Cyrus the Great.
King Cyrus was the king of the Ancient Medes and the Persians. He was born from the Pasargadae Tribe of the exiled Lost Ten Tribes of Gad. King Cyrus’ Pasargadae Tribe were from the sheep and cattle herder tribe of the Tribe of Gad who earlier after the Exodus lived in the lands of the Assyrians, the Land of Laban the Syrian where Jacob met Rachel in the lands east of the Jordan River along with the tribes of Manasseh and Reuben.

The Anglo-Saxons were a people who inhabited Great Britain from the 5th century CE. They comprised people from Germanic tribes who migrated to the island from continental Europe. The ancestors of the Saxons were the ancient Sacae (sons of Isaac) who later intermingled with the ancient British Celtic Lost Israelites in Wales and later the ancient British adapted some aspects of Anglo-Saxon culture and language.
Though the “Jacob sheep” trace their origins to the ancient Middle East, the largest population of “Jacob Sheep” in the world are still kept as ornamental animals on British estates due to their spotted coats and their tendency toward multiple horns.
Almost all sheep around the world have two horns. “Jacob Sheep” are a genetic exception for they have upwards to four to six horns, including large curved horns that frame their face. The superior dominance of their genetic breed is the strong resistance to disease and the high quality of their fleece, even though they do not produce a large amount of fleece.
The Genetic markings for this breed date back at least a few thousand years. The journey for this breed of sheep began in ancient Syria, that was known as the biblical home of Laban) the father-in-law of Jacob though Jacob’s two wives; Rachel and Leah. Lest we forget, this was later the tribal homeland of the Tribes of Manasseh, Gad and Reuben who raised large flocks of sheep in the land to the east of the Jordan River which today comprise President Bashar Assad’s Syria and Jordan’s King Abdullah II Hussein’s Jordan.
Many centuries later the pathway of the migration of “Jacob’s Sheep was led through North Africa along the Mediterranean coastline. Moorish invaders brought the breed to Spain, then to England, where the animal was an exotic animal known as a trophy sheep. “Jacob Sheep” were later brought over the Atlantic to North America, originally for zoos and then later for commercial use.
It has now been eighteen months since the Jewish Lewinsky family started to buy as many of the “Jacob Sheep” they could find in heirloom farms in Canada. Last fall as the Year of Jubilee began in the Jewish Year of 5776, the mission to restore the “Jacob Sheep” to the Land of Israel began in earnest. As Gil Lewinsky stated:
Gil Lewensky – “It started with four sheep, then it was ten sheep, then 17 sheep. Then they gave birth… Now we have 65 sheep. This year (2016) it could increase to over 100 depending on the number of lambs.”
The dream of the Lewensky’s is to restore this breed of sheep back to their lands of the sheep’s forefathers; Jews of the House of Judah and the Lost Ten Tribes of the House of Israel. Today there are about 160 sheep in the Lewinsky flock prepared and ready to be sent on the “wings of the eagles” back to the lands of their forefathers, their ancient homeland 2,700 years ago in Northern Israel.
To the east of the Sea of Galilee in the region of the Golan Heights, it is their dream to open an “ancient heritage sheep farm” for visitors from around the world to see and meet the “Jacob Sheep”.
Was the dream of the Lewensky’s just a coincidence back in July 2015, or divine inspiration (Ruach HaKodesh) when they began a world-wide endeavor with the “Friends of the Jacob Sheep” Facebook site. So it took a Jewish couple with an interesting event in their lives of purchasing a bunny that ended up being bartered and traded for a sheep. N0w within months of the prophetic futuristic vision of the famous 13th century Rabbi Judah ben Samuel documented in the Destination Yisrael article titled, “Rabbi Judah ben Samuel’s Jubilee Prophecy gives the Year of the Messiah” as the “Era of the Messiah” is expected to begin; a mighty prophetic vortex is about to unfold.
By installing a Heritage farm for the “Jacob Sheep” in the Golan Heights, the husband and wife team said they aim to “put back the ancient sheep to their original use.” The park would serve conservational purposes, and would include the housing of a historical fiber arts program for their sheep wool use in the modern world.
No, it is not a coincidence that within months of when the Lewendkys bartered for their first sheep was also when the spiritual call rang out to all the Jews in Israel and the diaspora that it was time to prepare for the building of the Beit HaMikdash (Holy Temple).
The historical value of the “Jacob Sheep” is primal to the future Messianic Era of King Messiah. This included the personal use of wool by the priests and Levites and the use of sheep in the sacrificial services of the Beit HaMikdash (Holy Temple); the use of woolen garments by the priests and Levites in the daily temple services, plus the role of sheep during Pesach (Passover) festival services. ‘Even more intimate was also the importance of the sheep and their connection to the Land of Israel and the Children of Israel for all are aspects that are part of the “New Era of Messianic Enlightenment.”
The present dilemma of importing the “Jacob Sheep” sheep into Israel proved to be tougher than the Lewinskys thought as the Israeli agricultural ministry told the Jerusalem Post that there are strict laws for importing livestock, and that there are no special considerations either for Canada or for possibly-biblical sheep breeds. But the Lewinskys became even more determined.
These were not just sheep, but the native sheep of the Patriarch Jacob which made them a “pretty spectacular sheep.” What was even more amazing than the multi-millennium nomadic history of the “Jacob Sheep” was the fact that the “Jacob Sheep” have another characteristic that is indelibly tied to the Jewish people.
The “Jacob Sheep” have a genetic disorder called Tay-sachs disease, a genetic disorder that afflicts the Ashkenazi Jews. It occurs because of a narrow inbreeding of chromosomes, which is why the purebred sheep, which all originated from a small genetic pool, have a predisposition to Tay-sach disease. So along with the aliyah of the “Jacob Sheep” Gil and Jenna pray that the world-renowned Jewish medical institutions in the State of Israel may through the “Jacob Sheep” bring more understanding to the disease that afflict the Ashkenazi Jews.
Today, there are just a few thousand “Jacob Sheep” worldwide, mostly on heritage farms in England and North America. The Lewinskys hope to establish the first heritage farm in the Land of Israel to raise Jacob sheep. They want to return to Israel and buy a farm in the Golan Heights, where the mineral-rich soil means they won’t have to provide supplemental minerals like farmers do for this sheep in other parts of the world. As Jenna and Gil Lewinsky stated:
Jenna and Gil Lewinsky – “We’re trying to tell the public that we have something from the TaNaKh (Old Testament), a piece of Jewish history, and we feel they belong in the land of Israel. Conserving animals is a form of tikkun olam (fixing and rectifying the world).”
They’ve estimated that it will cost $80,000 to $100,000 to bring a flock of 100 sheep from Canada to Israel in specially constructed livestock boxes.

As the New York Times wrote in an article titled, “Biblical Nomads will Return to the Holy Land, Thanks to a Canadian Farm.” on March 3, 2016:
New York Times – “Over thousands of years, they wandered from their homeland in the Middle East to Europe and finally traveled to North America, bound by a shared history and rigid dietary restrictions. But these nomads do not keep kosher. They are kosher.
Known as Jacob sheep, named for the biblical patriarch who, according to the Book of Genesis, first selected the “speckled and spotted” ruminants as wages from his father-in-law, the woolly animals are now set to make their own return to the Holy Land — from Canada, of all places. Their passage marks the resolution to an odyssey that blends the agricultural passions of two millennials with a spiritual devotion that has spanned four millenniums.
On a small farm 43 miles east of Vancouver, British Columbia, Jenna and Gil Lewinsky, an Israeli husband and wife, are raising around 130 Jacob sheep, which they plan to take to Israel this year on a specially fitted plane with all the pomp that would be expected to accompany the return of a lost tribe.
Indeed, the flock consists of some of the last heirloom Jacob sheep on Earth, and the Lewinskys hope their zeal for the rare breed will help enhance Jewish religious and environmental understanding for generations to come…
While they were receiving a crash course in animal husbandry from farmers and a veterinarian, Ms. Lewinsky asked the Israeli Embassy in Ottawa to aid their mission. But like the Israelites’ epic return from Egypt, getting the animals to the Middle East has taken much longer than expected.
Canada and Israel have long had deep agricultural ties relating to plants and food technology, including a robust trade in chickpeas from Saskatchewan that ultimately grace Israeli plates as hummus. But the two countries did not have any agreements for importing livestock, prompting Israel’s agriculture ministry to oppose the plan, according Eitan Weiss, a spokesman for the Israeli Embassy.
After a strong push by the embassy, led by Ambassador Rafael Barak, who witnessed the birth of a Jacob lamb at the Lewinsky farm, the Israeli Ministry of Agriculture and relented last year. “It’s a Jewish value to conserve animals, repair the world and bring back this lost heritage to the Jewish family,” Mr. Lewinsky said.
But even as the Lewinskys prepare to resettle their flock on a heritage farm in northern Israel — for educational and scientific purposes only — the Israeli Embassy is perhaps more excited that the sheep cleared the way for a broader bilateral agricultural agreement.
“The small stone created such an avalanche,” Mr. Weiss said. Still, he expressed relief that the animal at the biblical heart of it all was relatively easy to deal with. “Thank God crocodiles weren’t mentioned.”
The Lewinsky family believe today that they are the first Jews to own “Jacob Sheep” in over two millenniums. As their study in the history of the Jews, to them it is biblically significant and not a coincident that the location of the farm in Vancouver, Canada I hinted by the Prophet Jeremiah who wrote:
Jeremiah 13:20 – “Lift your eyes and see those coming from the North. Where is the flock that was given you; the sheep of your glory.”

In these days of dilemma, of trying to find the spiritual support for their international mission of returning the “Jacob Sheep” back to the biblical heartland of the Patriarchs Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the Lewinskys sought the spiritual advice of the famous mystic rabbi, Rabbi Amram Vaknin of Ashdod, beseeching his advice of whether they were presumptuous on taking on such a noble deed as returning the Sheep of the Patriarch Jacob back to Israel.
This famed rabbi responded that the sheep do not belong to the land of Canada but rather they belong “back to the land of Israel.” Their heart were rejoicing, but the final part of the rabbi’s counsel was even more profound. As Rabbi Vaknin continued:

Both Jenna and Gil Lewinsky believed that the mystic rabbi was reaffirming what they had seen their role as the guardians of the “Jacob Sheep, the future “National Animal of the State of Israel.” As Gil Lewinsky stated:
Gil Lewinsky – “We have seen ourselves with the sheep. You have to be God fearing and honor the traditions of the Torah to work with the sheep. It is a very special mission to return them to Israel. We agree fully with his advice and insights.
The Sheep can easily cause envy and this is recorded in our TaNaKh (Old Testament Bible) all the way from Laban’s sons in Genesis to Joseph’s multicolored coat that was made from “Jacob Sheep” wool. Rabbi Vaknin recommended that my wife and I be the shepherds that escort them back to Israel. This gives us confidence to continue despite any challenges we occasionally face.”

By winter 2015, the dreams of the Lewensky couple appeared hopeless and raising the $80,000 to $100,000 needed to bring now about 140 sheep home to the Land of Israel seemed to be an impossible dream.
The Israeli Agricultural Ministry turned thumbs down upon the importation of sheep from Canada to the State of Israel. Then the impossible began to turn to possible. In February, 2016, now the Year of Jubilee, Israel’s ambassador to Canada, Rafael Barak visited the “Jacob Sheep” Heritage Farm near Vancouver.
Then came the political influence of Ed Fast, the former Canadian International Trade Minister that appeared to curb the extreme resistance of the Agricultural Ministry to develop a protocol between Canada and Israel in regards to the importation of sheep from Canada to Israel.
They would have to set up protocols that included prior inspection and testing of animal and animal products to prevent the importation of animal diseases into Israel that could affect the morbidity of human and animals such as the “Jacob Sheep.” Since then the Israeli Embassy in Canada has been busy setting up agreements between the two countries so the “Jacob Sheep” could return to the Land of Israel where the ancestors of the “Jacob Sheep” use to roam in large flocks.
Was it Divine Providence that during the visit by the Israeli Ambassador to Canada, Rafael Barak, that he was able to witness the birth of a “Jacob Lamb” at the Lewinsky farm. This one event crumbled the relenting resistance of the Israeli “baa-liyah” bureaucracy in the Israel Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Ministry. But that was not all.
Uri Yehuda Ariel, the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development
In December, 2015, when all seemed hopeless for the exportation of about 140 “Jacob Sheep” from Vancouver, Canada to the State of Israel, it appears that the finger of the Holy One of Israel was once again watching and guarding His own.
In the wake of the March 2015 elections with the affirmation of the Israeli populous to continue the rightist administration of Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu as the Prime Minister of Israel, multiple changes occurred in other ministries of the Israeli government. One of these was Uri Yehuda Ariel who was given the portfolio to become the new Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development on May 14, 2015.
Retired now as a major of the Israeli Defense Forces, Uri Yehuda Ariel took his loyalties and supported the future of the Israeli settlement movement; for this was the command of the G-d of Israel. As a Knesset MK with the party called, The Jewish Home, under the leadership of Naftali Bennet, known as the religious Zionist political party in Israel that became the successor of the former National Religious Party.
The implications to the Lewinsky’s Mission to restore the “Jacob Sheep” to the Land of Israel in preparation for the rebuilding of the Beit HaMikdash (Holy Temple) could not be more awesome and profound.
Here now was a religious Zionist Jew, Uri Yehuda Ariel, who would be the highest government official just elected to the very ministry in which the Lewinskys needed to get approval for this daring mission to begin the future sacrificial system once again in
the Beit HaMikdash (House of G-d) by flying into the State of Israel upwards to 150 “Jacob sheep” in their aliyah to the Land of Israel. We can see how this illuminous act was to be revealed by the Jewish year of 5777 (5,000 years of man + 777, the number of HaShem.) which also was the end of the Jubilee Year of 5776 as the Nation of Israel would enter the higher messianic state of universal consciousness in the Jewish year of 5777 in preparation for the “upper gates of heaven to open and fill the earth with the cosmic era in which Metatron, as Melekh HaMaschiach will begin its reign to control Planet Earth, where Jerusalem will become the Solar Rex capital of the Universe.

So what was the Divine mandate given to Uri Yehuda Ariel as he assumed this powerful political position in the Israeli government? To understand Uri Yehuda Ariel, we have to look as Uri’s life portfolio and the missions of life he has supported in the Land of Israel.

In the year of 2005, just over 10 years ago, the destruction of all the Observant Jewish settlements in Gaza was scheduled as the Arial Sharon government in Israel sent in the IDF troops to evacuate 10,000 Observant Jews from Gaza on Friday, the eve of the Shabbat during the 9th of Av, 2005. The Chief Rabbis of Israel both decreed that the destruction of synagogues is a desecration of Jewish law. As Naomi “Ragen wrote in that day:
Naomi Ragen – “Never in the history of the Jewish people -- or any people--have holy places and houses of worship been deliberately destroyed by their own people. Even when Jews left or fled countries during their long diaspora, they left their synagogues behind; the way the Moslems have left hundreds of mosques behind that are cared for and protected by the Jewish state.”
Looking back upon the ignoble Gaza expulsion and evacuation of 10,000 Observant Jews from the Gaza Strip and the Northern West Bank on the 9th of Av, the Gaza evacuation of the Observant Jews can now be recognized as among the most horrendous days of infamy that include the destruction of the Temples of Solomon and King Herod’s. Today there have been at least 25 days of infamy, during the 9th of Av, as documented in the Destination Yisrael article titled, “Tisha B’Av, the 9th of Av: a Day of Infamy for the Jews.”

- Just prior to the 2005 Gaza evacuation, the Israeli MK Uri Yehuda Ariel moved first to the Jewish settlement called Kar Darom and became “One” with the Observant Jews defending their homes and synagogues. In protest and in support of the Gaza Jewish settlements, Uri Yehuda Ariel was there also as the Orthodox Jewish settlements during the expulsion of the Gaza region called the Dekalim N’vei. Later Uri Yehuda Ariel moved to Amona just prior to the dismantling of the Amona settlement outpost.
- In the next year of 2006, during the festival of Sukkot, Uri Yehuda Ariel ascended to the Temple Mount. During that time he made the profound and provocative statement the he was making preparations to build a synagogue on the Temple Mount not in the region of the Islamic mosques but in another region of the mount According to Uri Arial, “this would be correcting a historical injustice and provide to the Muslim world a means to prove to the world that Islam is tolerant to other faiths.
- It was on March 8, 2008, that the Israeli MK Uri Yehuda Arial opposed the decision of the Knesset House Committee to let Angela Merkel, the Chancellor of Germany, the presumed posthumous daughter of the German Fuehrer Adolph Hitler, to speak to the Israeli Knesset in the German language; the mother tongue of the 3rd In his opposition, Uri Yehuda Arial referred to the German people as the “mother of all Amalekites”. Amalekites”.

- Uri Yehuda Arial was ranked second in the 2009 elections on the National Union list as the HaBayit HaYehudi (Jewish Home Party) when they won four mandates and MK Uri Yehuda Arial along with Reuven Rivlin, now the President of Israel and a descendant of Rabbi Eliyahu Shlomo ben Zalman (the immanent one called the “Gra” called the Vilna Gaon, and Ayelet Shaked, the Justice Minister of Israel continued together as Knesset MK leaders.
- After the “Hill Top Youth” attacked an Israeli army base in 2011, it was MK Uri Yehuda Arial who protested to Israeli officials who called the group "terrorists", and condemned calls for the use of lethal force to repel such attacks in the future.
- In January 2012, MK Uri Yehuda Arial admitted to giving IDF troop movement information to such “Hill Top Youth” in order to facilitate disruption of army activities, saying "If a person who transfers information about IDF movements is a spy, then I am a spy.”
- MK Uri Yehuda Arial was ranked by the settler NGO Matot Arim as the most effective right-wing MK in 2011 and the second most right wing in 2012.
- In 2011, MK Uri Yehuda Arial was the sponsor of a Knesset bill which would ban the use of Nazi references except in certain situations, such as teaching, documentation or if the reference is found to have been correct.
- In December 2014 a group of academics called on the United States and European Union to impose sanctions on MK Uri Yehuda Arial and three other Israelis “who led efforts to insure permanent Israeli occupation of the West Bank and to annex all or parts of it unilaterally in violation of international law.”
- Following the 2015 elections, MK Uri Yehuda Arial was appointed Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development.
It was in the year of 2005 that the Israeli High Court of Justice paved the way for the State of Israel to defile Jewish history by blowing up 38 synagogues in Gaza, including a beautiful one in N’vei Dekalim. At the 6th hour preceding the arrival of the eve of the Jewish Shabbat, the destruction call went forth, and now 10 years later the world is feeling the effects of that one moment of time. As written on October 2010, in the Destination Yisrael article, titled, “The International Rights of Israel to the Mountains of Shomron”:

It will bring upon them a new reality that their great support of the Palestinian people and their animosity towards the Jewish people and their nation, the State of Israel, will only bring upon themselves the death throes of their own nations.

The Jewish people whom they have opposed since their rebellion with Rehoboam, the son of Solomon, will discover with “New Eyes that can See” and a “New Heart” implanted within themselves by the G-d of their Forefathers, and will come to a profound new consciousness as they realize that their national and tribal survival will necessitate their redemption and reunion with their tribal cousins the Jews.
In spite of decades of offering “Land for Peace” where Palestinians could live, work, and participate in the social life and governance of Israel, the Israelis and soon the Lost Tribers will come to realize that never will there be a peace offered by a Palestinian leader with the privilege of Jewish citizens living and participating in the governance of a new Palestinian State, like what is offered to Israeli Palestinians today. They uphold the ancient maxim, “Midah KeNeged Midah” (“what goes around comes around.”) If all the Palestinians have to offer is evil and destruction, then evil and destruction will fall upon them.”
As documented over 10 years later in the Destination Yisrael article title, “G-d’s Evacuation Aliyah Plan for 10 million Jews and 2-3 Billion Lost Tribes of Israel back to the Promised Land of Israel”, we begin to perceive that a new reality is settling in the Land of Israel. There is a renewed elevated consciousness by the “Last Generation” of the Jews and the Lost Ten Tribes of the House of Israel that enough is enough. The Torah commands by the G-d of Israel to the Children of Israel are as valid today as they as they were given from the mount called Sinai; 3,575 years ago.
Destination Yisrael – “Is it a coincidence or a strike of divine intervention that the Jewish Patriots and Pioneers in Shomron and Judea, are following the commands of the Almighty One of Israel to “settle the land” and ‘build, build, build, plus plant, plant, and plant for by the fruits of their labor, Gan Eden (Garden of Eden) will be restored once again.”
So today, the G-d of Israel is repaying Europe “Midah KeNeged Midah” which means “measure by measure” or “what goes around comes around” for Europe's calloused disregard for their tribal cousins, the Jews of the House of Judah.”
Today, the economies America, Europe, plus the Middle and Far East are now imploding as the G-d of Israel is meting out Divine Justice upon them as documented in the Destination Yisrael article, titled, “The Beginning of the End: the Final Collapse of World Governments.”
As we have taken the story of the reclamation, redemption into the potential redemption of the Lost “Jacob Sheep” back to the lands where the Patriarch Jacob lived, it appears that the finger of the Almighty One of Israel is even more today the “Guiding Force” as the Divine Architect of the Universes opens the doors for the vast Vortex of the Messianic Era of King Messiah to reestablish HaShem’s reign over Planet Earth.
So was it a coincidence as the Lewinsky family was seeking to bridge the international diplomatic “red tape” to restore the “Jacob Sheep” back to the land of Israel, that one of Israel’s most ardent defenders of the “Divine Mandate to settle the land”, Jewish Home MK Uri Yehudi Arial, was placed in the one governmental position to make the future reestablishment of the rebuilding of the Beit HaMikdash (Holy Temple) and the sacrificial services of sheep, goats and cattle a living reality
Not only that, MK Uri Yehuda Arial was also given by the G-d of Israel, the strong voice of MK Avelet Shaked, a secular Zionist whose prime mission through the Jubilee Year of 2016 is to redesign and establish a legal structure for all the land plots in Shomron and Judea whose legal status has not been determined to organized these plots of land and any prior documented prior ownership of the land will be revealed for legal transfer to Jewish or Lost Israelite possession.
Though a secular Jew, MK Avelet Shaked appears to have an open and spiritual mind, a vision of providing legal propriety rights to owners of all lands in the “disputed regions”. This would allow the residents of Judea and Samaria to own the legal title and Deed of Trust of land ownership that will be secured by the State of Israel so that all private ownership of land that have a legal “Deed of Trust” will remain secured by the Israeli Supreme Court.
In 1917, the Islamic Ottoman Empire was conquered by the British forces under the command of General Edmund Allenby. After that date, the Land of Israel was a “no-man’s land” that was put under the guardianship of the French and the British Mandate, Even the Nation of Jordan never had any legal rights and ownership of the “Disputed” regions in Shomron and Judea before the War of 1967, when the Jewish State forces drove out the Jordanians and Shomron and Judea were now under the possession of the entire region of Shomron and Judea.
Was it a coincidence that one year after the 6-day war of 1967 that the book called the “Kol Ha Tor” written by the student protégés (disciples) of Rabbi Eliyahu Shlomo ben Zalman (Vilna Gaon) was first published in 1968 in religious Zionist circles in the Land of Israel? At that time, the mandate of the Holy One, the Vilna Gaon who was now recognized as the “Hidden Messiah” called the Maschiach ben Yoseph had declared that is was imperative that all Jews to return back to the Land of Israel, to reclaim Israel’s biblical borders and rebuild the land with Jerusalem as the global spiritual and scientific metropolis of the world.
The command that the G-d of Israel first gave to the Children of Israel after their rendezvous with G-d at the mount called Sinai was to conquer and possess the land of Canaan. Today, the Jewish people have a divine mandate to conquer, possess and to build in Shomron and Judea. As such today, the impasse of disputed land is a political football where the non-observant Justices of the Israeli Supreme Court can hold hostage the future of the Jewish people to develop the tribal lands of the 12-Tribes of Israel and open the doors of the future aliyah of the Lost Ten Tribes of the House of Israel.
This it appears will happen before the long awaited “Messianic Era of King Messiah” is expected to begin during the transition that could begin as early as the beginning fall harvest festivals on Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur and Sukkot. At that time, we will be in the preparation stage as the “Final Era of mankind” of our “3rd dimensional consciousness” ends and the “cosmic futuristic era of messianic enlightenment of 4th dimensional consciousness” as we begin our transformation to our original “Light Bodies” of “Edenic consciousness” as Adam and Eve were in that pristine Garden called Eden.
Can we begin to “open our eyes to see” and refuse to spiritually stay asleep? If your heart begins to palpitate, then you are beginning to perceive the august perspective that the reunification of the House of Judah and the Lost House of Israel is soon; very soon.
Every day from now towards the next High Holiday Season in the fall of 2016, we should keep our personal, visual and spiritual insight focused on the fact that when we hold our hands out in personal support with loving kindness to the Jewish people, we are hastening the coming and the inauguration of King Messiah (Melekh HaMaschiach) and the redemption of All Israel (Klal Yisrael).

At the time of the end the G-d of Israel will use all of His Chosen Ones of Israel to complete His divine destiny for Planet Earth. Most of these chosen ones will have no idea of their chosen destiny. They will become the prime actors in the final act of the “Drama of the Ages”. No doubt, by now you have heard the exciting news of the historic return of Biblical Yakov Sheep to Israel by September 2016.
In May, my husband and I met Jenna and Gil Lewinsky on their property in Abbotsford, BC.
They are the couple who realized the significance of the Sheep of Yakov Avinu and set about to return them home to Israel.
No small feat, as they had no prior farming experience!
Despite ongoing challenges (permits, medical testing, vaccinations and local anti-Semitism) they have prevailed.
To overcome bureaucracy in both Canada and Israel, is nothing short of a miracle!
In fact, Canada is not on the approved list to import livestock to Israel, but Yakov Sheep were granted One Time Permission!
In August, the Yakov Sheep will be trucked from BC to Ontario for one month quarantine; then on to Israel (El AL partially subsidized flights)
Additional expenses include building crates for flight, inoculations, vitamins, vet bills, barn rental, feed and medical testing to satisfy both countries.
Once in Israel, Yakov Sheep will live on a Heritage Farm near the Galil. Their wool will be used for tzizit and tallit and horns for shofarim (not meat consumption).
The return of the Sheep is causing a worldwide sensation, especially in Israel and the momentum is growing, as it becomes closer to reality.
Jenna and Gil are working tirelessly with selfless devotion. They will make Aliyah with the Sheep and dedicate their lives to their care in Israel.
To reach Israel, they need $54,000.(fifty-four thousand dollars Canadian)
This amount will cover expenses to Israel and allow the Lewinsky's to focus on the immediate challenges, without additional stress of fundraising
We hope you will see the historic opportunity and mitzvah and participate in helping return this beautiful flock of 120 home.
