The Fiery Inferno in the Forests of Mount Carmel
On December 7, 2010, sixty nine years after the December 7, 1941 Pearl Harbor Day when America was trampled to her knees by the Japanese, Israel was experiencing her own “Pearl Harbor Catastrophe”. For five days, the starry nights over Mount Carmel cast a deathly pall as the forests erupted into a fiery inferno. Then, on December 7, as the land was smoldering the United States officially suspended the International Forced Settlement Moratorium to Building in the Settlements of Shomron and Samaria. It’s demands for Israel to renew a freeze on Jewish settlement building in the West Bank ended, thus throwing the Palestinian-Israeli peace talks into deeper disarray. Some international pundits cast blame upon the Mount Carmel inferno for destroying the moratorium on settlement construction in Israel.
In a long-awaited announcement, that bittersweet day will be remembered in Jewish history when the American State Department admitted that her top-level efforts to coax Israel into imposing new unilateral curbs on Samarian and Judean settlement construction had gone nowhere except in a quagmire or stalemate. It was on that day on December 7; Israel grew up and was now relishing her new found freedom. She had stood up to the world in her sixty-nine years of adolescence and maybe, if she chose, would be ready to begin constructing the most magnificent era of Torah enlightenment in the world while awaiting her Messiah and the crowning of her future king, “David, son of David”.
Back in America, the White House, who had presided over the re-launching of direct negotiations
earlier in September in Washington, saw these negotiations bog down within weeks when an Israeli settlement moratorium expired. The Palestinians refused to come back to the table so now the weeks of efforts to broker a new settlement freeze and resuscitate the peace talks had gone nowhere.
According to some international reports, Wiki-Leaks was the final death nail that shut the coffin of the Oslo Peace Accord. The internationalists wanted to steal the “Fields of Samaria” that was the “birthright” of Ephraim the son of Joseph, and the divinely destined homeland of its original owners the Lost Tribes of Israel. Someday soon, when the “decree” from the heavenly courts is announced, the Lost Tribes of Israel will begin returning home. This act will also nail shut Islam’s hope of a future world Caliphate for the Shi’ite messiah called the “Mahdi” they anticipated their capital to be the city of Jerusalem.
Yet, this conflict is reminiscent of that ancient day, when Elijah the Prophet confronted the 400 Israeli Priests of Baal to a religious ultimatum; and the fiery inferno not only burnt up rebellious Israel’s offering to Baal, but also consumed Elijah’s water offering to G-d and the entire stone alter.
On December 7, 2010, the sacrifice of Elijah the Prophet was again engulfed with a fiery inferno at Mount Carmel, as the modern Israelites Priests of Baal in Europe and America were trying to give this “Land” in the biblical heartland of Israel to the Palestinians, the modern nemesis of King David and ancient Israel’s nemesis, the Philistines. Yet the G-d of Israel said, “No!” This land is prophetically promised and destined upon the Honor of the Holy Name of HaShem, the G-d of Israel that it will be restored to the Returning House of Israel.
The next week, after the amazing “sacrificial barbecue” on Mount Carmel the intrepid “Prophet Elijah” was fleeing for his life, as if there was no tomorrow. The G-d of Israel found him, and said, “Where are you, Elijah”. The omnipotent One presented Himself to Israel’s greatest prophet, in the fire, wind and the earthquakes upon Mount Horeb and then informed the prophet don’t be so scared, “You are not alone”. There are 7000 others beside you that desire that the sacred heartland of Israel be returned to their original owners, because this is G-d’s will.
The Destruction of the Israeli Prison Bus going to Mount Carmel
The Land of Israel was mourning her own, when 40 Israeli prison wardens died in the fiery inferno while going to rescue 400 Palestinians prisoners in an Israeli jail. They and their bus was engulfed in the flames of that fiery inferno on Mount Carmel. While Israelis mourned, the Palestinians were dancing in the streets for joy.
As reported in Joseph Farah’s G-2 Bulletin, “Al Qaeda claims it set the Israeli Forest Fire”, the Carmel fires may be the first Al-Qaeda attack in the land of Israel. In a video message, the Masada al-Mujahidin (Lions of the Mujahidin in Palestine) took responsibility for setting the forest fires of Mount Carmel in retaliation for the death of Palestinian fighters in Gaza. The Mujahidin thanked the wind “which was one of the soldiers of Allah, for his help, by expanding the flames to where we never thought, so that the enemy was not able to subdue it and was forced to seek help from foreign forces.”
As the Land of Israel was suffering and the State of Israel was pleading to the international community for help to quell fiery inferno, the larger picture was almost lost; Israel was now spiritually, psychologically, and physically preparing to stand alone to the world community and say, “We will serve the L-rd our G-d, the Holy One of Israel.
So on this day, a new phenomenon was developing, the “mountain prepared not with human hands”, the Cosmic Mountain of Greater Israel was officially resurrecting from the fiery inferno like the Phoenix Bird of ancient myths. She was coming to establish her destiny before the nations of the world.
As the region of Carmel lay smoldering, so also the embers were fading of Islam’s hopes to destroy the emergence of the House of All Israel, and to prevent the return of the Lost Tribes of the House of Israel as the smoking remains of 5,000,000 trees lay on 8,500 acres (3,400 hectares) of charred forests that were prayerfully planted by world donors many decades ago.
This was no doubt the worst forest fire in the history of the modern Zionist State of Israel. This was also the worst fire in the former “Land of Palestine” for the history of Palestine began over 2000 years ago when Edom Rome renamed the region of Judea and Samaria into the “Land of Palestine.” The land was later denuded of trees by the Ottoman Arab Empire, infamously known for cutting and destroying every living tree in the entire region. This fact provoked Mark Twain to write on his visit to Palestine in 1860;
Mark Twain (1860) – “A desolation is here that not even imagination can grace with the pomp of life and action…We never saw a human being on the whole route. We pressed toward… Jerusalem…Jerusalem is... lifeless. I would not desire to live there. It is a hopeless, dreary, heartbroken land… Palestine is desolate and unlovely. Can the curse of the Deity beautify a land?”
For whatever reason, HaShem, the G-d of Israel has a way of overturning the tables when His people show sufficient resistance and resilience. Israel’s epic moment in world history has now arrived. The question that must be asked, are the Jewish people willing to open their doors to the prophetic “Return of the Lost Tribes of Israel” given to them by their Prophet called Ezekiel? Are they collectively willing to accept the mantle of imperial rule of the world, as the ancient Israelites modern namesakes, the Golden Calf loving America and the European Union begin their slow decline to oblivion as they face their new Mount Sinai, and as the Jewish prophets of totalitarianism, Lenin and Marx, the Communist loving countries of Socialism and Fascism, Russia and China face their own internal combustion? The G-d of Israel has promised, based upon His Holy Name, that a “New Heart” will not only replace the Jewish hearts, but will also replace the “Old Hearts” of the more rebellious Lost Tribers of the House of Israel.
The Jewish settlers of today in Shomron and Judea are destined to become memorialized in the future as the pioneers and patriots of the future Greater Israel. As they were waiting for the announcement that a new building freeze would be instituted for a further 3 months freeze, they also continued to build upon the foundations of the ancient towns of King David and Solomon’s United Empire. As so today, they are building full steam ahead at an unprecedented rate. As OvadYah Abrahami, the Director of Kol Ha Tor, an Orthodox Jewish and Rabbinic group sponsoring members of the pro-Israel, and pro-Rabbinic Lost Tribers of the House of Israel had these insightful words;
OvadYah Abrahami – “The rock-busters, preparing building platforms for new building structures worked almost around the clock and the continuous thumping can be heard from all directions around Shomron and Judea, plus in the outskirts of Jerusalem. Whereas normally these construction sounds could be an irritating noise to the dwelling populations, never ending hour upon hour, it was like music to their ears, waking them up in the mornings and lulling them to sleep with it at night, while new homes were popping up all over sacred regions known as G-d’s Holy Land.”
The “Faith” of the pioneering settlers of Judah cast an illuminating light of inspiration to Christian Lost Tribers around the world. They wondered how can one build a home, have it torn down and then rebuild it again and again. The gutsy and fervent belief in the “sacredness of the Land” gives settlers an idealism that is a wonder beyond comprehension. The Kol Ha Tor director pointed out on a recent tour of visitors to Samaria that here was also built a “fully structured brick and concrete 3-story home” being constructed about the same size as the KHT Guest House”; as compared with the “normal pre-fabricated more temporal structures used in the settlements” today.

Anyone of these “illegal” homes could be bulldozed tomorrow at a moment’s notice by the order of Defense Minister Barak’s office with no less impunity then Sharon’s Israeli government sponsored disengagement plan when Gush Katiff on the abandoned dunes of the Gaza seashore, over twenty five fully developed Israeli towns, shopping centers, with schools, synagogues included, were destroyed by Israeli bulldozers as 10,000 of the princes and princesses of the “Land” were taken as virtual refugees of the State of Israel. The Israeli Arabs were treated exponentially better than the orthodox Jews who once lived in beautiful Gush Katif in 2005 and best said by the Jerusalem Post in August, 2010 with the article titled, “Why Gush Katif still matters.”
Moshe Dann – “The expulsion of 10,000 Jews from their homes five years ago was not a localized event in the Gaza Strip and northern Samaria. It was a national implosion, a national disgrace. It caused enormous physical, psychological, social, cultural, military and strategic damage to the entire nation – and it still does. Like an ecological disaster, its foulness still seeps through our foundations, and continues to poison us.
Undermined by enforcing a political agenda, the entire political system, the media and judicial institutions refused to act responsibly. Basic civil and human rights of Jews were abandoned. Those responsible for welfare and proper compensation misled and lied; led by Sela, the Disengagement Authority, our country was in denial. Our own political and many spiritual leaders – those for whom we voted, in whom we trusted – failed to organize and prevent this catastrophe. Ministers who disagreed were fired; public debate was suppressed.
The Knesset was impotent and negligent; it did not insist on proper procedures, to which all citizens are entitled; and no one was held accountable. Our IDF, of which we are part, in which we believed, was brainwashed and turned into zombies; those who refused to participate were heavily punished – a misuse of the IDF which was illegal and immoral…
We believed that those we elected, and the institutions of government, were fair and honest. We were wrong. The expulsion and destruction of 25 Jewish communities is a symbol of national betrayal. The same toxic thinking led to the removal of Jewish communities from Sinai in 1982, and the Oslo Accords, which brought PLO terrorists to power and caused the slaughter of thousands of Jews, and wounding of tens of thousands more. The product of corruption, deception, greed and arrogance, disengagement is an example of cruel indifference and the abuse of power. We are still stuck there.
DISENGAGEMENT LEFT a deep wound that will not heal, not only because lives and homes were destroyed, but because it was immoral, unjust and irrational. The knife of perfidy is still in our spiritual guts; it is an ongoing trauma of our neshama – not just the people who suffered physically and mentally, but a national deception…
DISENGAGEMENT WAS a denial of Jewish sovereignty in Eretz Yisrael; it was part of an anti-Zionist, anti-Jewish and anti-democratic plan of unilateral withdrawal that began with the Oslo Accords (1993), was followed by the retreat from South Lebanon (2000), and continues with the arbitrary and discriminatory destruction of Jewish homes in Judea and Samaria.”
For many, this “blind faith” exudes a certain craziness, but that “blind faith” is what topples unjust empires and unholy alliances. Like modern Israel today, just after the Mount Carmel inferno allegedly caused by Palestinian Al-Qaeda arsonists, also destroyed over 8,500 acres of prime forestland. Yet, these forests will be reforested by Jews in contrast how this same land was deforested by the Islamic Ottoman Turks.
As Al-Qaeda and the Palestinians seek to destroy the Jewish settlements, the bravery of the patriotic Jewish settlers will continue to rebuild over and over their torn down homes. They are much like their cousins the 18th century Lost Israelite patriots of Colonial American where most of the signers of the Declaration of Independence lost their fortunes and their homes in support of the American Revolution.
OvadYah Abrahami testified how recently this “blind faith” was revealed in all its glory and honor when during the 2010 Chanukah season “Friends of Kol Ha Tor” went to visit a hill-top settlement”. It was here where “hill-top youth” brought in hundreds of Jewish and Christian supporters to light the lights of Chanukah. It was also here that another story of Chanukah will be retold over and over throughout the ages as town after town was rededication to HaShem on a hill-top in Shomron and Judea and where Jewish souls are determined to “tame the Land” for HaShem, the G-d of Israel.
Recently these same “hill-top” youth began living in an abandoned Palestinian outbuilding when the long-arm of Israeli Defense Minister Barak destroyed the abandoned cave where youth had slept and studied the Torah. They then watched with distain the remnant of evidence of the “youth” planting fence poles, and then with stern countenances investigated the abandoned “living quarters” for any sign of human occupation for it had all disappeared with the news that the 5-10 troop army was coming along with a congregation of leftist and just curious spectators watching police officers manicuring the sight of any human occupational evidence.
It was at a different site when during the KHT tour of Shomron during Succot 2009 those guests from around the world went to a hill-top during the darkness of the night and there with the full moon and artificial floodlights danced with the Torah at the Simchat Torah celebration on the 8th day of the Feast of Tabernacles.
So today, the Pioneers of Samaria and Judea like Daniella Weiss, the mayoress of Kidumim a delightful Jewish settlement, began her destiny by organizing the hill-top youth of Judah to claim this land for all eternity. These activities landed her in Israeli jails on numerous occasions, and while Israeli authority, without faith in the G-d of Israel were out to destroy abandoned settlements, this Giantess of Faith, Daniella, was raising funds for food supplements for the brave and intrepid “hill-top” youth of Shomron and Samaria to continue rebuilding their own homes.
This is the “faith of our forefathers” that lived in the sacred premises of the “Promised Land” given to them by the G-d of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Here are the intrepid settlers who risk their lives and possessions to claim the land destined by the prophets to be the homeland for the soon to return Lost Tribes of Israel. We must applaud their heroic deeds.
Today, these Righteous Jews, the modern day resurrection of their Israelite Pioneering American cousins of the Lost Tribes of Israel, who went “West” in covered wagons to establish a “New Israel” in the land of America, are in need of your support. Today, 160 years and 4 generation later, the Jewish Pioneers and Patriots are recreating the same deeds as their Israelite American cousins. They are preparing this land to be ready for the Return of the Lost Tribes of the House of Israel and the return of the Jewish Messiah, the Maschiah ben Dovid (Messiah son of David).
Today, as the State of Israel faced the destruction of her “Carmel inferno”, little did they comprehend the implications of this moment of time. The Obama White House was encouraging a “diplomatic assault” on Israel by forcing Israel to commit to their goals for Samaria and Judea. They are also encouraging the international recognition of a Palestinian State against the will of the Jewish people signaling that the “International War” against the rise of Prophetic Israel is about to begin.
Zechariah 12:2 – “Behold, I am making Jerusalem a cup of poison for all the peoples all around; also Judah will take part in the siege of Jerusalem. It shall be on that day that I will make Jerusalem for all the people a burdensome stone.”
