“I have finished the work which You have given Me to do”
Has it really come into your consciousness what true surrender to the Messiah is really like? This surrender is not simply a surrender of your external or material life but a surrender of your will. Once you have surrendered your will to the Messiah, your surrender is complete. The greatest crisis of yours is the surrender of your will to YHVH’s Messiah.
You must always remember, the Eternal One never forces a person’s will into surrender. He will not beg you to surrender your life and will to Him. He will always patiently wait until you are willing to yield your will to Him, yet once that battle has been fought and won, it will never have to be fought again.
Surrender for Deliverance
Yahshua HaMaschiah (Jesus the Messiah) was a Prince of David who lived out His life as an Orthodox Jewish rabbi. He lived His life as a Hasidic Jew, above and beyond the “letter of the Law”. Today He comes to beckon you, most of which are descendants of the Lost Tribes of the House of Israel and says, “Come to Me . . . and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28).
When you come to the Messiah, you are also coming to the Torah, for the revelation of the Torah and the revelation of the Messiah are one and the same. When the Messiah was living His life on Planet Earth, He lived a life that was the fullest expression of living the halakhic life of Torah.
Only after you begin to experience the fruits of the true meaning of redemption and understand what Torah rest is all about, are you now willing to surrender your will to the Messiah? You will feel a sense of uncertainty, but then you realized that it is actually the call of HaShem saying, “Come to Me!”
Take note, it is a returning to the Messiah that is 100% voluntary. When you return you will realize that you have not lost something but have gained your real life back, enhanced by the revelation of the Torah manifested in the flesh. Yet something new is now being uplifted by the Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit), the Torah manifested in the Spirit. When your will now becomes dependent upon YHVH’s Messiah, you have truly “Come home!” Then you recognize that true fullness of the Divine is now being revealed to you through the life of the Messiah you have learned to love. You now fully comprehend that the Messiah and the Divine are “One” and the “Same”.
Surrender for Devotion
The day will come when you will make that decision to yield your will and come to the Messiah. And why should you not? Was it not the “Mission of the Messiah” to find the Lost Sheep of the House of Israel? Did not most of these Lost Sheep of Israel become Christians in the future ages? Maybe the Mission of the Messiah was to bring “All Israel” back home to their historic and spiritual family roots, united with their cousins, the Jews.
After you have yielded your will with the Messiah, your next invitation comes to you from the Divine; “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself . . . ” (Matthew 16:24). The concept of “Surrender” and “Denial” is wrapped around completely absolving you entire heart, soul and being to the Messiah. His “rest” becomes now the matrix of your own being.
V'ahav'ta eit Adonai Elohekha b'khol l'vav'kha uv'khol naf'sh'kha uv'khol m'odekha.
“And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might.”
Rabbi Yahshua then turns His penetrating eyes and begins to instruct each one of us, “If you want to be My disciple, you must give up your right to yourself to Me.” Once this task is accomplished, through your life will be exhibit the revelations of G-d Himself – the evidence of complete surrender to the Eternal One of Israel that has come through your surrender to G-d’s Messiah.
What this means in your life is that when you surrender your life to a physical manifestation of a Being in which your senses can only comprehend in part, you will now begin to perceive that the Messiah was only the “Door” through which you must walk to be able to stand in the Presence of Almighty One of Israel. You have entered through a spiritual vortex, a “Spirit Gate” where you can pasture like sheep in the “Presence” of the “Source of all Goodness and Harmony”.
What becomes amazing, the manifestations of your life will become transformed into the “Image of G-d” for through the manifested physical “Image” of YHVH’s Messiah; your life has become changed. For the remainder of your life, you may become a “living testimony” to all those you come in contact with. Now they can behold the Eternal One of Israel that is now revealed through the Messiah that is now being revealed through your life.
Absolute surrender is when your life no longer becomes a focal point in your relationship with others. In essence you become transparent as you now reveal G-d manifested through the Messiah living within your life. Your will becomes G-d’s Will. The “fates” of the future for your life will no longer be your concern. The Eternal One of Israel is in control of your life, your future and your destiny. You have confidence as you feel His restful spirit permeating through your life.
You then begin to perceive “The Unseen Holy One” sitting upon the Throne is the same as “The One” whom you did perceive as “The Messiah”. The reality then begins to come home that He is totally sufficient (see 2 Corinthians 12:9 and (Philippians 4:19) for you now perceive the reality that they are “One” and the “Same” and through their “Oneness” all life begins and exists for all eternity.
Surrender for Death
Have you learned the meaning of being “girded for death”? The Messiah proclaimed that “. . . another will gird you . . .” (John 21:18 ; also see John21:19). Do you really know what it means to be “girded for death”?
Do not be seduced that you can make your surrender during some moment of ecstasy, because your life will focus on the feeling and you will want to possess that feeling and take it back. Being “girded” is being literally to be bound by a belt and “saved” or “rescued” from eternal death. When you are rescued, by true surrender, your “death of your life” becomes also the moment of your being united to the Messiah in the likeness of His death (Romans 6:5) until everything that appealed to the manifestation of the Divine in the flesh will also be what appeals to your life.
After you surrender – what then happens to your life? Then you comprehend that your entire life will be destined to be a revelation to others. It will be a reflection of the unbounding eagerness to remain in complete and unbroken fellowship with the Almighty One of Israel. At that time, your life has becomes so transparent that all others will begin to see the unknowable G’d revealed through your life.
