The Persian Gulf and the Arabian Sea
Suddenly the Obama White House changed its two year dovish posturing game with Iran, and stepped up rebuilding America’s military Navy presence in the Arabian Sea and the Persian Gulf. The American military forces had been stripped down since the Obama White House decreased the heightened naval presence of the Bush White House in mid-2008. American appeared to be returning to the warpath.
During the days of Succot 2010, France’s only nuclear powered carrier, the Charles de Gaulle left its home port in Toulon with two frigate34s, an attack submarine, and a refueling tanker to rendesvoux with the USS Nuclear Carrier Abraham Lincoln who arrived at the home of the American Fifth Fleet in Bahrain’s Manama port. There they joined the USS Harry S. Truman carrier and its marine air strike forces officially as part of NATO’s anti-piracy and counter-terrorist forces patrolling the Indian Ocean and supporting the NATO forces in Afghanistan. Their arrival no doubt was watched closely by Tehran’s central military command. The Iranian behavior was unusually quiet in contrast to their past reactions to increasing American military presence by launching Iranian missiles and conducting war games off the Strait of Hormuz
While the French troops were officially exiting Afghanistan, they were entering the potential naval battlegrounds in the Persian Gulf and the Arabian Sea for a potential invasion on Iranian soil by the French and the American naval forces. They had already practiced landing the American Super Hornet F/A-18E/F jets on the French De Gaulle and the French Rafale M fighter-bombers landing on the American Nuclear Carriers simulating returning for “repairs” as each fleet carried both French and American replacement parts.
In the meantime, during times of war, the British fighter jets would be flying overland from England through Saudi and Egyptian airspace for bombing targets in support of the American Marines. With 120 American warplanes and 40 bombers each on the U.S. and French nuclear carriers, the final stage for war preparations over the next four months were in place.
The military noose around Iran was soon in place when on October 17, 2010, Egyptian and Saudi special-forces hosted military exercises called Tabuk-2 in the desert regions of Northern Egypt. The war simulations included an anticipated Iranian attack upon the Eastern Provinces of Saudi soil as the marines of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) attack Saudi oil fields and oil port terminals. This alliance between Egypt and Saudi could later become a noose against Israel.
Their military forces also began to co-mingle as Egyptians and the Saudi have now joint coordinated war desks, and the Egyptian expeditionary forces consisting of armored, naval, marine, air and commando detachments have now been scattered amongst the Saudi military bases as a permanent Egyptian outpost ready for instant action for any strategic Saudi-Egyptian call for instantaneous response to a Shiite Iranian attack upon Sunni Saudi Arabia soil.
Just as the war games ended on October 21, the United Arab Emirates launched a new port and naval base at Fujairah on the eastern coastline of the emirates overlooking the Straits of Hormuz, that strategic strait between the Arabian Sea and the Indian Ocean. Now, along with the American military presence there have been established three Combined Task Forces in the regions that host their own warriors and equipment;
- The CTF151 Task Force operates in the Gulf of Aden and the Somali Basin;
- The CTF152 Task Force operational area extends from the northern Persian Gulf to the Strait of Hormuz; and
- The CTF158 Task Force operates over the northernmost corner region of the Persian Gulf at Bahrain, Kuwait, Iraq, and Iran.
During October 11-21, the Israeli IDF and American forces were also conducting a command post simulation and training exercise called Juniper Falcon 11. This yearly exercise strategized potential coordinated missile strikes from Iran, Syria, and Hizballah in Lebanon plus Hamas in Gaza. With the forces of Iran waylaid potentially by the Stuxnet virus, the Iranian government may be immobilized leaving the already highly militarized regions of Syria, Lebanon and Gaza to represent Iran as its proxy states in a triple fronted war against Israel.
The war games anticipated also Iranian merchant ships shooting missiles from the sea while Iranian warplanes were launching from Syrian bases to blitz Israeli and American targets all while Iran was under viral malware attack or military aerial attack. The overall coordination between the operational and intelligence needed between American and Israeli missile interception systems was tested in all potential scenarios of Syria, Hizbullah, and Hamas launching Iranians missiles from Syria, Iraq, Lebanon and Gaza.
Dennis Ross, Special Assistant to President Obama with Israeli Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu
It was on October 25, Dennis Ross, the Special Assistant to the US President and Senior Director for the Central Region spoke while he addressed the Florida convention of the Israeli lobby AIPAC;
Dennis Ross - "Frankly, this degree of coordination (between US and Israel) is unprecedented. I have participated in these types of discussions for the last 30 years and they have never been as intense or focused, reflecting the serious cooperation that we have today with Israel."
He later made the most direct threat to Iran from any prominent insider to the Obama administration concerning an American military action against Iran, with these words;
Dennis Ross - Should Iran continue its defiance, despite its growing isolation and the damage to its economy, its leaders should listen carefully to President Obama who has said many times, 'We are determined to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons.'"
What the Iranian populous was seeing is their state in disarray. The tight enmeshed relationship between the Supreme Spiritual leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and their President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad appeared to be cracking. The question on the street was who was leading. A religious military power with no spiritual mandate except to “nuke” its enemies; Israel, Europe and America, had now lost its mandate, and its people were silent. What will fall next? There were no demonstrations, neither was there any sentiments of nationalistic uprising to protect their nation. The Persian descendants of Cyrus the Great were now awaiting the next move.
Suddenly the fear of the Israeli prowess began to resound throughout the Middle East. Iran was stumbling like Goliath of old. Like “Babylon the Great”, could Iran’s defenses collapse without any military battles? Would the Persian Haman be hanged without spilling even one drop of Jewish blood?
It appeared, like Israel destroyed Syria’s North Korean built Plutonium reactor in September 2007 by activating the “kill switch” on the Russian-made, so the “kill switch” was imbedded into Iran’s Nuclear Development infrastructure, immobilizing her Israeli “Kill Weapon” called the Stuxnet Virus.
Yet on the prophetic scene, the epochal war of the Prophet Daniel’s vision of the Ram and the He-Goat may be coming to its final battle. Was the archangel’s message to Daniel the Prophet coming true?
Daniel 8:5-8 (parts) - “And as I was considering, suddenly a male goat (Grecian Rome confederation of Europe and the United States) came from the west, across the surface of the whole earth, without touching the ground (aerial power); and the goat (European Union) had a notable horn (United States) between his eyes. Then he came to the ram (Persian-Iran) that had two horns (Russia and China)… and ran at him with furious power.
And I saw him (he-goat) confronting the (Persian) ram; he was moved with rage against him, attacked the ram, and broke his two horns. There was no power in the ram to withstand him, but he (male goat) cast him (ram) down to the ground and trampled him (ram); and there was no one that could deliver the ram from his hand.”
While this vision, according to Christian and Jewish scholars alike was interpreted solely as being fulfilled by the epic battle between Alexander the Great and Darius Nothus III, it was the archangel who gave Daniel insight to the real and final interpretation.
Daniel 8:17, 18, 26 (parts) - “Understand son of man, that the vision (of the Ram and the He-Goat) refers to the ‘time of the end’…”Look, I am making it known to you what shall happen in the ‘latter time of the indignation (holocaust)’; for at the ‘appointed time the end shall be’”…therefore, seal up the vision, for it refers to ‘many days in the future’.”
The ultimate fulfillment of this prophecy would not be the epic battle between Alexander the Great of Greece and the Persian Shah Darius II Nothus. It was destined to be completely fulfilled at the time of the end. Throughout all the years of 2009 and 2010, this war raged; in military battles, diplomatic confrontations in the UN, psychological warfare on the global geopolitical scene, economic warfare, ecological wars, bio-terrorism warfare, assassinations, suicidings, and secret treaties and diplomatic agreements.
Yet, the fury or rage of the He-Goat against the Persian Ram may still be resurrected and place a more powerful force keep to the literal Hebrew Pashat interpretation and the dramatic “Shock and Awe” attack on Iraq that never materialized in the 2001 Desert Storm War, could be the literal intent of this battle after all. Late October 2010, the Obama White House and the Pentagon had discreet talks with the NATO Supreme Commander in Europe, Adm. James G. Stavridis Rasmussen and NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh to combine for the first time, the military forces of integrating America and NATO military into one operational military in preparation to attack Iran. Someday this joint military will rule the whole world.
The earlier President George W. Bush in 2003 refused to invite NATO as a foundational coalition to attack and neutralize or destroy Iraq for Bush went alone to “conquer and to conquer” as depicted in the First White Seal of Revelation (Council of Foreign Relations) with Bush’s Multi-National Force in Afghanistan, as the final stage of redemption.
Revelation 6:2 – “And I looked, and behold, a white horse. He who sat on it had a bow; and crown was given to him, and he went out conquering and to conquer”
If anyone ever considered that Obama’s White House is “dovish”, they might want to reconsider! Ahead of the US invasion of Iraq in 2003, President George Bush did not invite NATO to take part in the Iraq war. He also turned down a subsequent offer to join from alliance leaders. Instead, the Bush administration established the Multi-National Force-Iraq.
Now, seven years later, the dovish President Barack Obama has gone the route with the internationalists and trans-nationalists, with a military build-up in Afghanistan of forces exceeding what the “Cowboy President” did in 2001-2008 against Iraq and Afghanistan. If so, Obama’s response to his and the Democrat’s crushing defeat in the November 2010 elections by the “Tea-Party” may see the world escalate into World War III and may replace the “National Agenda” president with the “Foreign Agenda” president. Iran, on the other hand, would realize that the America was truly preparing to destroy Iran’s nuclear installations, yet with the hope that it will not escalate into a global war but a regional war.
What we do know is that a regional war of the Islamic nations surrounding Israel is still on the prophetic horizon. This war was predicted by King David’s Psalter Asaph or chorister, in his Psalms 83. Here he probably alluded to a regional war of King David’s subjects within his empire seeking to topple his throne when David defeated the Ammonites and the Syrian in 1 Chronicles 19.
Yet most important is the fact that the War against Israel by the coalition forces of Gog from the Land of Magog (Gog-Magog War) state one thing; Iran will still be alive and well, but now as a minor coalition partner of a larger One World Imperial Army led by Gog the Prince of Magog. Though reduced in size, Iran would still have her belligerence against Israel.
The Land of Magog as the “Land to the Furtherst North Place from Jerusalem and the Land of Israel”
Most Christian scholars believe this Gog is Russia yet many Kabbalist Rabbis in Israel state that Prince Gog from the Land of Magog actually refers to America, the land of the Ancient American Indians who were actually the Eastern Gogs or Chinese Manchurians, so “Gog from the Land of Magog is actually the Prince/President of America. Is it not amazing that Iran may end up being America’s ally who in the future will seek to destroy Israel – the dramatic ending as given to us by the biblical prophets could never be more informative.
As the Prophet Ezekiel wrote twenty five hundred years ago, with the modern rabbinic interpretation, Persia /Iran will be on the geo-political stage until the final day of GogUMogog/Armageddon:
Ezekiel 38:3-13 (parts) – “Thus says the Lord God: ‘Behold, I am against you, O “ObamaGog”…I will turn you around, put hooks into your jaws, and lead you out, with all your army, horses and horsemen…Persia/Iran, Ethiopia/Egypt, and Libya are with them, all of them with shield and helmet’…In the latter years you will come into the land of those brought back from the sword and gathered from many people on the mountain of Israel, which had long been desolate; they were brought out of the nations, and now all of them dwell safely…
On that day it shall come to pass that thoughts will arise in your mind, and you will make an evil plan: You will say, ‘I will go up against a land of un-walled villages; I will go to a peaceful people, who dwell safely having neither bars nor gates to take plunder and to take booty….a people gathered from the nations, who have acquired livestock and good, who dwell in the midst of the land.”
Before the GogUMogog would enter its final prophetic phase, Iran, the Ram, would prepare her Client State Allies that surround the Nation of Israel to enter their final prophetic cycle seeking to destroy Israel. From all appearance, their prophetic destiny is soon to come.
