According to a recent funding study by the Israeli government, they are investigating the proof that the Pashtun Afridi tribe in the Lucknow region of Northern India are of ancient Israelite descent from the Lost Tribes of the House of Israel. They will be investigating blood samples from the Pashtuns in Luchnow’s Malihabad region with DNA samples of Israeli Jews.
Shanaz Ali, a senior research fellow who is leading the study at the Technion Israel Institute of Technology in Tel Aviv states that they are using modern DNA genetic samplings of the Pashtuns to compare with modern Israeli Jews under the assumption that a large contingent of Jews from the Southern Kingdom of Judah were also taken into the Assyrian captivity to Media in the 8th century BCE. It is recognized that the Pashtuns of India are closely related to the 40 million Pashtuns around the world that include more than 14 million in Afghanistan and 28 million in Pakistan that live predominately in the North West Frontier Province of Pakistan plus a large presence in Karachi.
Yet the tribal legends are so prominent and pervasive that the Pashtuns of Eastern Afghanistan, where NATO and the United States are seeking, according to the local population, to exterminate because they are harboring Osama bin Laden, and the Taliban warriors connected with Al Qaeda. This international quandary, if the legends are true, are bringing into direct conflict the Lost Tribes of the House of Israel that are living in Christian America and Europe against the Islamic Lost Tribes of Israel living in Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Northern Iran.
According to BibleSearchers Reflection research titled, “The Israelite-Scythian Migration to Europe” and the “Finding a New Home for the Lost Tribes of Israel” that a majority of the Lost Israelites migrated from the region of Khurasan (Northern Iran, Eastern Pakistan and Western Pakistan) and wandered over several centuries over the Black Sea. They followed the path of their tribal cousin of the House of Dan, where every river he crossed, he left in name; the Don River, the Dnieper, the Dniester, and the Danube.
In mighty waves they entered Europe in the 4th and 3rd centuries BCE as the Goths, the Cimmerians, the Celts, and the Cymrics to settle in Northwestern Europe in the Hallstatt and La Tene archeological settlements found in ancient Europe. The lands of their final habitation include the Isles of the West (Britain, Ireland and Scotland), the Vikings lands of Norway, Sweden, Finland, and Denmark, the Lowlands of Netherlands and Belgium, and the northern sectors of Charlemagne’s France and Northern Germany.
The Pashtun Bani-Israelites, according to Biblesearchers Reflection research, were “left-behind” as a remnant and remained in their ancient lands of exile in Khurasan, as documented in the articles titled, “G-d’s Battle Axe – The Mystery of the Pashtun Israelites of Afghanistan”. It is true that there was discovered evidence of an ancient Jewish settlement found in the region of Herat close to Afghanistan's border with Iran. This settlement included a Jewish graveyard that was discovered near the Minarat of Jam that contains tombs inscribed in Hebrew. The Afghan capital Kabul also has a centuries-old synagogue which has long been abandoned. Yet the Jewish evidence within

It is no wonder that a couple of years ago, the University of Chicago had a small genetic study to test these claims, and they found no links at all. Yet, the news was being reported in the Arabic press as trumpeting that the Taliban might be Jews. This evidence was first quoted in Ha'aretz News and reported later by the Elders of Ziyon blog site that this connection was made because both groups have "genetic aggressive behavior." Yet, this evidence may only be reflective not of ancient genetic pool but the constant harassment and genocide against the Jewish people by the Muslims since the Balfour Agreement of 1917 when the western globalists led by Sir Arthur Balfour of England agreed that the Jewish people deserved their own national homeland in the Land of Israel.
Several years ago a pamphlet was published by the Amishav Institute, today known as Shavei Israel that was called The Lost Tribes of Assyria. The author, Rabbi Eliyahu Avihail sought to provide the evidence that the Pashtun (Pathan) tribesmen of Afghanistan and Kashmir are descended of the 10 lost tribes of Israel. This evidence was documented then and later explored in sub-article titled, “The Pashtun Tribes of Bani-Israel” with the following tribal customs similar to modern day Jewry.
Biblesearchers Reflections – “According to their local tribal traditions and religious customs, the Pashtoons circumcise their infant boys on the eighth day, as commanded by the God of Israel to the Hebrews at the Mount called Sinai. They also wear fringes on their garments called the Qutwani Cloaks, keep a sacred day of rest on the Seventh-day Sabbath (Shabbat), eat only clean meats like the Jewish kashrut meals, and recognize themselves as children of the ancient tribes of Israel; the ten of the twelve ancient Hebrew tribes who followed Joshua into Canaan after the death of Moses. Some Pashtun tribesmen today wear amulets that contain the “Shema Israel” in Hebrew.
Within their religious customs, the Pashtuns have a ritual practice like Passover where they sacrifice an animal and then smear the doorway as a protective shield to avert death and sickness. They will “place their sins” upon a heifer or a goat, which is then driven into the desert like the ancient rituals of the Hebrews at Yom Kippur. They stone to death blasphemers of God, redistribute the land of their dwelling by lots, and serve the rites of circumcision to young male babies and purification rituals for the females.
Their art designs seen within local buses within Pashtun provinces are quite similar with great affinity to Jewish and Hebrew arts objects. The artistic diagrams include such images as peacocks (the Torah was written with peacock feathers), art forms of the Ark of the Covenant, the “Star of David”, the Kabbalist “Tree of Life”, the “Fish” of the Shabbat (Sabbath), the Shabbat heart shaped lamps and the numbering of the leaves of a petal like the kabbalist sages in Israel use.
Within their villages, the Pashtoons are known as the children of Yousef (Yousef Zai), Asher, Dan, Ephraim (Afridis and Afandi), Gad (Gadon-Amazai), Issachar, Levi (Levani), Manasseh (Manasey), Naftali or Abdali (Napthtali), Reuben (Rabbani of Afghanistan), Simeon (Shinwari or Koahat the grandson of Hazrat Yaqoob), and Zebulun (Zabulistan). The “Pashtoon City” in Pakistan is in the region south of Kabul in Afghanistan.”
It was a few years ago that a Canadian Jewish filmmaker Simcha Jacobovici came to the same conclusion that Pashtun people were associated with the Lost Tribes of the House of Israel. He portrayed his conclusion in a video documentary called Quest for the Lost Tribes where he traveled halfway around the world in order to interview Indo-Chinese and Bucharian Jews. Then he traveled to the war-torn regions of Afghanistan where he met with several Pashtun tribesmen. Again they related to him their tradition of Jewish origin but in reality their Israelite origin. According to Jacobovici, he was impressed with their "unmistakeably Semitic faces" as he left with the belief and certainty that he uncovered an ancient mystery yet to be revealed. Yet, he along with many others have become disillusioned with modern science failing to document their beliefs and anthropological evidence that remnants of the ancient Israelites remained in the region of Khurasan. Yet his confession showed also the failure of the evidence, because the Pashtuns may truly be ancient Israelites that are not genetically related to the Jewish people who have been separated from their ten tribal cousins for over 2700 years.
Simcha Jacobovici – “I must confess, that I too strongly believed in this and eagerly awaited for science to dispel any lingering doubts. Well, science has now spoken and I'm afraid that I (as well as many others) was wrong. While the scientific DNA study was not 100 percent conclusive, there are very strong indications that the bulk of the Pashtuns are in fact not of Hebrew or Semitic descent.”
"Two populations, the Kashmiris and the Pathans also lay claim to a possible Jewish origin. Jewish populations commonly have a moderate frequency of haplogroup 21(20%) and a high frequency of haplogroup 9(36%). The frequencies of both of these haplogroups are low in both the Pathans and Kashmiris so no support of Jewish origin is found, although again this conclusion is limited both by the small sample size available from Kashmir and by the assumption that the modern samples are representative of ancient populations".
The problem with the current experiments of the DNA evidence also demonstrates a phenomenon of the mystery of the Divine who scattered separately the Northern House of Israel and the Southern House of Judah into exiles in different places and at different times. As such they intermingled with separate native populations around the world. Even as the Jews were scattered throughout the Roman Empire in the days when the Gauls, who were actually Lost Tribes of Israel did not intermingle with the Romans. This would suggest that there would be little genetic interrelationship with the Northern European Israelites and the Roman populations in the south. Yet Jewish bloodlines have proven to be intermingled within the Latin regions of Southern Europe along the Mediterranean Sea. At the same time, the Lost Tribes of Israel kept themselves separated in the
Northern Regions of Europe and genetically remained distinct from each other and from their Jewish cousins for almost two thousand years.
As we look carefully at the picture of the “Tora Bora Girl” living near the reputed hideouts of Osama Bin Laden in Tora Bora in Eastern Afghanistan, we see such remarkable similarities to the Northern Irish Cymric and Celtic populations in Northern Europe. BibleSearchers suggests that DNA studies between the Afghani Pashtun tribes should be compared with Cymrics of ancient Wales, the indigenous Irish families who trace their ancestors to the Ancient Royal Lineages of Ireland, plus the Dutch, French, Anglo-Saxon families who have remained for over a thousand years in the land of their forefathers in the European nations to the north.
Yet, the Scandinavian Vikings could demonstrate and even different and more diverse genetic variation for their wanderings and Viking invasions spread all over Europe and then all the way to Constantinople. They could have genetically altered their DNA more than other Israelites whose populations did not carry imperial quests to far flung regions around the world.
The evidence still appears to be clear that Jewish bloodlines intermingling among the Pashtun people may be limited. Yet, the evidence is unclear but the potential more certain that the Pashtuns may be related rather to the Lost Tribes of the House of Israel that immigrated to the northern regions of Europe. Would it be shocking to realize that tribal Northern Israelite cousins serving in the military forces of NATO and America in Afghanistan may truly be killing their own tribal or related Pashtun Bani-Israel cousins of the Lost Tribes of Israel living in Eastern Afghanistan, Western and the Northwest Frontier Province (NWFP) in Pakistan.
